Pre-Sale Detailing · Anywhere in Dubai

Detail it before you list it

A pre-sale detail is one of the few things you can spend money on before selling a car that tends to come back to you. Presentation is what a buyer anchors on, and in a market this liquid it is the difference between holding your price and negotiating against yourself.

    Why it pays

Dubai has one of the most liquid used-car markets in the world. Dealers, auction apps, classifieds and export buyers are all competing for the same stock, and two similar cars listed in the same week can clear a long way apart on condition impression alone.

That is the whole argument. A detail does not change the car. It changes how many buyers show up, and what they anchor on when they get there. It is worth saying plainly that the return is not guaranteed and depends on the car, the asking price and the buyer. What is reliable is the order to spend in, which is what the rest of this page is.

Work down it, not up it

    01

    Full interior detail with steam

The highest-return single spend before you list. Buyers forgive dusty paint because they have seen Dubai. What kills an offer is the interior: smoke or food smell, staining on light seats, grime in the vents, a boot that looks lived in. The cabin is where a buyer decides how the car was treated.

    02

    Odour removed at the source

Fabric and AC, not perfume sprayed over the top. Buyers notice masking immediately, and a covered smell reads as something hidden rather than something cleaned.

    Exterior detail with sealant

Decontamination, a machine-applied sealant, dressed tyres, clean wheels and barrels. This is for the photographs, and in 2026 the photographs are the showroom. A sealed car shoots well in open shade because the paint finally reflects something.

    Engine bay wipe-down

A clean bay reads as maintained, and inspection apps photograph it. It is a small spend that answers a question the buyer was going to ask anyway.

Only then, on higher-value cars: correction and coating

On an ordinary car, buyers will not pay back a full paint correction. On a premium or performance car, swirl-free paint is part of what the buyer is buying, and correction plus a fresh coating routinely pays for itself. Put it in the listing if you do it.

    What to book

Two packages cover almost every sale

    Most sellers

    Exterior & Interior Detail (Flagship)

Our most thorough package — studio-grade exterior restoration plus a complete interior strip-and-steam, documented at every stage. It covers the top of the ladder in one booking, which is why it is the usual answer before a listing.

    A car already kept well

    Maintenance Detail

A balanced exterior-plus-interior refresh to keep a well-kept car in top condition between full details. If the car has been looked after, this is usually enough to photograph well without paying for work it does not need.

See it on the detailing page

Live prices for both are on the detailing page, where they are read straight from the catalogue.

    Book on the web

There is no Android app yet, so Android books on the website. It does everything the app does: pick a slot, manage your plan, and see the photos after each visit. On an iPhone you can download the app instead.

    The Pre-Sale bundle

    Three add-ons, grouped for sellers

This is a stack that goes on top of whichever detail you book, not a detail on its own. It groups the three items that specifically answer what a buyer or an inspector looks at.

    • Engine Bay Cleaning
    • Headlight Restoration
    • Leather Conditioning (1 row)
    AED 600AED 499SAVE 101 AED

Added to a detail, not instead of one. Tell us what you are selling and we will say which rungs of the ladder are worth it on your car and which are not.

    However you are selling

    Selling privately

Your photographs compete with every other listing posted that week. Clean, well-lit photos get more clicks, more clicks get more enquiries, and more enquiries is what gives you room to hold your price.

Trading in or selling to a dealer

Inspectors grade presentation into their offer whether or not they say so. A detailed car and a clean bay move the conversation away from what needs fixing.

    Selling to an export buyer

The buyer may never stand next to the car. Everything they price is in the photographs and the inspection report, which makes presentation the whole of the impression.

    Timing it

Detail before the photos, not before the handover

The photographs do the selling, so the car needs to be at its best on the day of the shoot rather than on the day it changes hands. A detailed car also lets you shoot in open shade with the paint actually reflecting something.

Keep it garaged or covered until the shoot, then budget a quick maintenance wash before each serious viewing, so the first impression matches the listing.

    Questions sellers ask

Is it worth detailing a car before selling it in Dubai?

Usually, yes. Dubai has one of the most liquid used-car markets anywhere, with dealers, auction apps, classifieds and export buyers all competing for stock, and in that market condition impression moves money quickly. Two similar cars listed the same week can clear meaningfully apart on presentation alone. The interior detail is the highest-return element; paint correction only pays back on higher-value cars.

How much should I spend detailing a car before sale?

Work down the ladder rather than buying the biggest package. A full interior detail first, then odour removal at the source, then an exterior detail with sealant, then the engine bay. Correction and coating only on a premium car where flawless paint is part of the value. Current prices for each are on the detailing page.

    What is the Pre-Sale bundle?

It is an add-on stack that sits on top of whichever detail you book, not a detail on its own. It bundles Engine Bay Cleaning, Headlight Restoration, Leather Conditioning (1 row) for AED 499 instead of AED 600 bought separately, so it saves AED 101. Those three are the items that specifically answer what a buyer or an inspector looks at, which is why they are grouped for people who are selling.

When should I detail the car, before the photos or before handover?

Before the listing photographs. The photographs do the selling, so the car needs to be at its best on the day of the shoot rather than on the day it changes hands. Keep it garaged or covered afterwards, and budget a quick maintenance wash before each serious viewing so the first impression matches the listing.

Should I fix scratches and swirl marks before selling?

Light swirls, only on higher-value cars, via machine polishing. Deep scratches through the paint: get a quote first, because a respray can cost more than it returns and flags the panel on inspection apps. An honest disclosure on a clean, detailed car often sells better than a suspicious fresh respray.

Does a detailed car actually sell faster in Dubai?

Listing platforms reward it indirectly. Clean, well-lit photos get more clicks, more clicks get more enquiries, and dealer inspectors grade presentation into their offers. The detail does not change the car; it changes how many buyers show up and what they anchor on.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

We come to you. The detailing van carries its own water and power, so it works at your villa driveway or building parking anywhere in Dubai with nothing needed from your home. Paint correction is the exception: it is measured against paint thickness and needs controlled lighting, so we collect the car and return it.
