Paint Protection Film (PPF) in Dubai
Full-body self-healing film, custom-cut on your car - never pre-cut. We collect the vehicle, apply the film in a controlled indoor environment, and deliver it back. Recovery both ways is included at no additional charge.
How much does PPF cost in Dubai?
Washii full-body paint protection film starts at AED 14,000 for a mid-size car and runs to AED 20,000 for a large vehicle in our top film. Every price below covers the entire car - every painted panel - not a front kit.
Essential
ONYX
Our base paint protection film - full-body, self-healing protection at the best value.
Premium
KDX
Premium self-healing paint protection film upgrade.
Ultimate
XPEL
Top-tier 8.5 mil self-healing film - thicker than standard PPF for superior impact & abrasion resistance.
Colour Change
VZN - Colored PPF
Reversible colour change in protective film, with a peelable interior finish. Change your car's colour without touching the factory paint underneath.
Select vehicles (Mercedes G-Class, Rolls-Royce, Nissan Patrol and larger SUVs) are quoted +AED 1,500. Final price confirmed after paint inspection.
What does “PPF from AED 3,500” actually buy?
A partial front kit - bonnet, front bumper and headlights. Not a car. Those headline prices are real, but they are not quoting the same job. Here is what each level of coverage costs across the Dubai market.
| Coverage | Dubai market range | What it actually is |
|---|---|---|
| Partial front | AED 3,500 - 4,500 | Bonnet, front bumper and headlights only |
| Full front | AED 6,500 - 8,500 | Adds front fenders and wing mirrors |
| Full body, budget film | AED 5,000 - 7,500 | Every panel, but usually unbranded PVC or low-grade TPU |
| Full body, premium film | AED 13,000 - 22,000+ | Every panel in self-healing TPU with a registered warranty |
A full-body wrap advertised under about AED 5,000 is almost always low-grade PVC film with no registered warranty. It yellows, cracks, and can peel your clear coat off with it when removed.
Which film: ONYX, KDX or XPEL?
All three are self-healing. The difference is clarity over time, gloss retention and how long the manufacturer stands behind the film. XPEL is the film most owners ask for by name, and it is what we fit on the Ultimate tier.
It is not always the right answer. On a car that lives in a basement car park and gets sold within three years, ONYX protects it just as well for thousands less. On a daily-driven car parked outside in Dubai sun, the better film earns its money. We will tell you which one your car actually needs, even when that is the cheaper one.
Custom-cut, not pre-cut
We cut the film on your car. Pre-cut patterns come off a plotter sized to a generic model and stop short of the panel edge - which is exactly where film lifts, collects dirt and starts to peel. Custom cutting takes longer and lets us wrap the edges properly. It is the single biggest difference between a job that still looks invisible in year three and one that does not.
Will PPF hide scratches and paint defects?
No. The film is clear, so whatever is on the paint stays visible underneath it. PPF preserves the paint it is applied over - it does not correct it. This is the part of the job most shops leave until the car is already booked in.
Paint inspection
Every car is inspected before any film is cut. We record the paint condition so there are no surprises when the car comes back.
Film does not hide defects
Surface imperfections and dots left by previous paintwork stay visible beneath the film under direct light. Polishing alone cannot fully remove them - the affected panels must be sanded, repainted and polished before the film goes on.
Decontamination, quoted separately
Iron decontamination and any touch-ups beyond the agreed scope are quoted before we start, never added afterwards.
Stone chips
Cars without self-healing factory paint may already carry stone chips. Those are addressed under a separate paint-repair package, not covered over.
Is PPF done at my villa, or do you take the car?
We do not install PPF at your villa, and neither should anyone else. Paint protection film has to go on in a controlled indoor environment - a single speck of dust trapped under the film is permanent, and a driveway or tower car park cannot be kept clean enough. Our mobile crew handles washing and detailing at your door; PPF is different, and we treat it that way.
So we collect the car instead. Vehicle recovery to and from the fitting location is included at no additional charge, anywhere in the UAE - Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and beyond. Allow 5-7 business days from collection to delivery.

What happens after installation?
Wait 8 days before the first wash
The film needs eight days to fully cure. Washing before then risks lifting edges and trapping moisture under the film.
We collect the car one week after delivery
We collect the car one week after delivery to bring it back for a final touch-up and quality inspection - some defects cannot be seen, or have no realistic way of being spotted, on handover day.
Then wash it properly
Film lasts as long as it is looked after. pH-neutral shampoo, no brushes on the edges, and no pressure washer aimed at a seam.
Film lasts as long as it is washed properly. A Washii wash plan keeps the maintenance right without you thinking about it.
PPF in Dubai - common questions
How much does PPF cost in Dubai?
Washii full-body paint protection film starts at AED 14,000 for a mid-size car with ONYX film, AED 16,000 with KDX, and AED 18,000 with XPEL. Large vehicles are AED 15,000 to AED 20,000 depending on the film. A matte finish adds AED 1,000 to AED 2,000. Every price covers the whole car, not a partial front kit.
Why is PPF advertised elsewhere from AED 3,500?
Because that price buys a partial front kit - bonnet, front bumper and headlights - not the whole car. A full body in genuine self-healing film sits between AED 13,000 and AED 22,000 across the Dubai market. Full-body offers under about AED 5,000 usually mean low-grade PVC film with no registered warranty.
Will PPF hide scratches and paint defects?
No. Paint protection film is clear, so anything already on the paint stays visible beneath it - including swirl marks and the dots left by poor previous paintwork. Polishing will not fully remove deeper defects. Those panels need to be sanded, repainted and polished before the film is applied. We inspect your car fully on arrival, and if anything needs attention before the film goes on, we share the findings with you to approve or confirm first - so any additional cost is agreed up front, never a surprise.
What is the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?
Ceramic coating is a thin, hard, hydrophobic layer that adds gloss and makes the car easier to wash. PPF is a much thicker self-healing film that physically absorbs stone chips and scratches. They solve different problems, and many owners do both.
Is the film pre-cut or cut on the car?
We cut on the car. Pre-cut patterns are faster but leave the film short of panel edges, which is where lifting and dirt ingress start. Custom cutting takes longer and wraps the edges properly.
Can PPF be installed at my home, or does it have to be done indoors?
PPF must be applied in a controlled indoor environment - dust trapped under the film is permanent, and no driveway or car park is clean enough. Washii does not fit PPF at your villa. We collect the car, apply the film indoors, and deliver it back. (Our mobile crew handles washing and detailing at your door; PPF is the one service we deliberately do not do on-site.)
Do you collect cars from outside Dubai?
Yes. Free vehicle recovery to and from the fitting location is included, anywhere in the UAE - Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and beyond. Allow 5-7 business days from collection to delivery.
Can I wash the car straight after installation?
No. Wait eight days for the film to fully cure before the first wash. We also collect the car one week after delivery for a final touch-up and quality inspection - some defects cannot realistically be seen on handover day.
How long does PPF last?
Premium self-healing film carries a 10-year film warranty, but Dubai heat and permanent outdoor parking shorten real-world life. Most cars left outside are best re-filmed at around the five-year mark, before the adhesive hardens and removal gets difficult.
Prices last updated July 2026. Quoted per vehicle after a paint inspection.
